Original
Sabbath Live Album and Tour.
The
following is from a report on Hard Radio's web site. The best place for
Hard Rock on the net.
You better
sit down for this one - the first 'proper' live album from BLACK SABBATH
(not counting Live At Last from 1980) is set for release in mid-October.
Live
Recordings From The Black Box, the two-CD digipack set features the original
line-up: vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler
and drummer Bill Ward. The album was recorded on December 5, 1997 in Birmingham,
England and features 16 classic Sabbath tracks plus two new studio recordings:
'Psycho Man' and 'Selling My Soul'. The tracklisting on CD1 is: 'War Pigs',
'Beyond The Wall Of Sleep', 'N.I.B.', 'Fairies Wear Boots', 'Electric Funeral',
'Sweet Leaf', 'Spiral Architect', 'Into The Void' and 'Snow Blind'. The
tracklisting for CD2: 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath', 'Orchid'/'Lord Of The World',
'Dirty Women', 'Black Sabbath', 'Iron Man', 'Children Of The Grave', 'Paranoid',
'Psycho Man' and 'Selling My Soul'. The first single from the album will
be 'Psycho Man' and it hits radio in early October. Sources say that
fans should expect a brand new logo from the band. As well, after a short
break this fall, Sabbath will begin a world tour on New Year's Eve (12/31/98)
in the U.S., with a European tour planned for spring/summer 1999. There
is no confirmation at this point in time whether drummer Bill Ward will
be able to perform... |

Sinopoli:
Big Hair, Hard-Rock and MTV
by: Rick Mulholland
Has
exposure on MTV changed the life of Joey
Sinopoli?
"Yes,
it has," jokes the southern New Jersey rock icon. "All of my customers
now want big 80's hair! Spandex stock has risen dramatically. And the neighbors
think I'm the next Adam Curry."
On
July 8th, Joey appeared on the music channel's "Lunch With Jesse," an afternoon
show hosted by the one-of-a-kind vee-jay. The duo teamed at Joey Sinopoli's
Hair Cutters to discuss and sculpt the 1980's phenomenon "big hair." The
result was the transformation of an unsuspecting customer into a glam-rock
god.

Stone
Temple Fugative
The
now defunct Stone Temple Pilot's front man has the law after him after
failing to appear on Drug Charges for the Second time in a month. Weiland
was a no show in Los Angeles Superior court on July 9th, resulting in Judge
Larry Fidler issuing a warrant for his arrest.
The
30 year singers' trouble with Heroin is well known. His first arrest for
drug charges goes back to 1995, since then he has accumulated quite a rape
sheet. When Weiland failed to appear in court on June 11th, his attorney
got him excused by claiming that Weiland was receiving treament for his
Heroin problem. This time however, his attorney, Michael Nasatir, has no
idea of the singers where-abouts.
Weiland
was last arrested in Manhattan in June and charged with Possession of Heroin.
He Allegedly had $100 worth of the drug on him at the time of arrest.
