Psychostick - We Couldn't Think Of A Title Review
by Mike Rapin
.
I have to say that I like music that parodies other genres, but when I heard Psychostick's We Couldn't Think Of A Title I couldn't decide if the album was funny or not. With an overall sound of decent/typical metal, Psychostick leaves you with a feeling as if someone wrote some mediocre songs and slapped semi-funny fifth-grade jokes on as lyrics. The majority of the album is full of cheap plays on easily mockable styles of music that you'd probably joke about with your buddies and after about 5 songs, it gets a little old. Things drag on and on for nearly 72 minutes. You'll chuckle here and there (see also: "Beer"), but lets just say this album is no Tenacious D album. So, taking sense that this is a parody album, I can't really rate anything musically or lyrically. And also knowing that the majority of the album is somewhat lame, I'll end things with this: unless you listen to cheap "cock-rock" or nu-metal or your typical hardcore/metalcore or anything along those lines, and have a bit of a sense of humor when someone mocks the music you like you'd probably like this album. Track Listing: 1. Indecision 2. Scrotal Torment 3. Two Ton Paperweight 4. Death Burger! 5. No Pun Intended 6. Why, Oh, Why? 7. Pluh 8. Beer 9. Prozak Milkshake 10. Throwin' Down 11. I Hate Doing Laundry 12. Return Of The Death Burger! 13. Largiloquent Dithgramb 14. Lizard Sphere 15. Orgasm = Love 16. Good Morning 17. In A Band To Get Chicks 18. Fake My Own Death And Go Platinum 19. ABCDeath 20. The Jagermeister Love Song
