Aerosmith
Asked to play Jesse Ventura's inaugural
Aerosmith
was greeted with a unexpected phone call when they appeared this week on
the syndicated radio program Rockline to promote their latest album.
The
caller was the ex pro wrestler now Minnesota's Governor elect Jesse "the
mind" Ventura. Jesse revealed his admiration for the group and love
of their music.
"Aerosmith
is always great, they're probably the premiere American rock n' roll band
in history", said the first Reform party candidate to win major office.
To
further prove that electing a pro wrestler was anything but politics as
usual he asked Aerosmith the following , ``If you're free in
January, we'd love to have you rock n' roll at an inaugural thing.''
Without
hesitation Steven Tyler answered: ``It would be our pleasure Jesse, thank
you.'' And Joe Perry followed up with ``We appreciate the invitation,
and we'd also like to congratulate you officially from Aerosmith for winning.
We think it's great what you did.''
