The
purpose of the release is to strengthen the support of the local music
scene by teaming up with EAT'M to provide a local music compilation to
the industry executives showing the industry that Las Vegas shouldn't go
un-noticed in the recording industry. It's also serving as an additional
chance for the bands who were not selected to perform in this years EAT'M
a chance to be directly heard.
EAT'M
has agreed to distribute the CD througout the conference by inserting into
every registrant's bag upon check in.
Epstein's
Mother, a lean, mean acoustic pop machine, has done in a year what other
bands take a lifetime to achieve. With a sound all their own, they have
built a massive following in the entertainment capital of the world (Las
Vegas), and put out their own local CD (Hurry Up & Wait), which sold
out in less than a year. They have won every contest they have been a part
of, including Best Unsigned Band in America!
Floor
Thirteen has given the Las Vegas music scene a much-needed kick in its
baggy, chain-walleted pants. Chalk it up to that blend of Deana’s keen
vocal prowess, a nice rock edge, and such serious brass-kicking that rock
mag Picks & Sticks gushed “...they played with such precision and feel
I thought they were from a New Orleans Dixie Quartet.” Hot off their CD
release parties their debut album "Show Me What You Got" has sold
over 600 copies in the first 2 months and has solidified a stong mini tour
May 13, 14, and
15
from Seattle to Portland, opening for Eminem at Seattle University.
"One
first glance, local pop-rock quintet TRIP is one of the luckiest bands
around. Look a little closer and you'll find that they're also one of the
hardest-working groups in Las Vegas"....Lee Abraham, City Life Magazine.
To date some of their credits include: Touring with VH1 Rock Across America,
Performed at EAT-M, (Emerging Artists & Talent in Music), Performed
for audiences up to 20,000 and opened for EDWIN MCCAIN, ANGGUN, DUNCAN
SHEIK, ROMANTICS, COREY GLOVER, CHEAP TRICK, RICHIE SAMBORA, AMERICA, and
THE JETS, as well as obtaining endorsements from FENDER, NOBLE & COOLEY
and DEAN MARKLEY.
Inside
Scarlet, whose big guitars, dramatic vocals with haunting harmonies and
bold lyrics create some of the most intense sounds that have ever come
out of Las Vegas. Inside Scarlets' music is grounded in songwriting and
bare emotion. The kind of introspection that cannot help but conjure up
massive doubts in the artist. It is a trait they share with poets, painters
and other musicians. "There isn't anything that we've written that we don't
feel strongly about, that we haven't given every part of ourselves to,"
says Heather. But it's this honesty that Inside Scarlet's loyal following
can identify with and it's what keeps their following growing.
Inside
Scarlet is currently sponsored by JAGERMEISTER after a nationwide Battle
Of The Best Unsigned Bands contest and is preparing for their regional
tour to promote the release of their debut CD “Red.”
Seminiferous
is first and foremost about a solid sound, which shows in the quality of
their music. Their love for what they do best is apparent in their live
sets, whether it be cover tunes or originals. Seminiferous has been
together for three years performing alternative cover music.
They
recently have entered into the original music scene and have completed
their first alternative CD called Dark Pop. Look for it it stores soon.
The
Kickwurmz, who will soon be releasing their self produced album "Wobbly
H Town" , dish out a hearty helping of home made fast moving hip hop/funk
"We promise to deliver the funk to the masses until God himself tells us
to calm the hell down" says Big Wurm . Til then, stay true to the cause,
and support your local music scene!
