Rock News: Free Phish.
If you are not among the 75,000 attending Phish's sold out two day New Year's celebration at Florida's Big Cypress Seminole Reservation on December 30th and 31st, you can still get in on the action.

Phish has announced plans to offer 5 MP3's from the shows on their web site. They are scheduled to play five sets over the 48 hour period and will make available from their web site one song from each set.

The MP3's will be released utilizing the new eLicense technology, which will allow fans to listen to the songs three times before requiring that they purchase a license for more playbacks.

Mac owners are out of luck, the technology only works with Microsoft Windows Based systems, so those with other OS's and portable MP3 players will not be able to play back the songs.

If you own a PC using Windows 95, 98 or NT you will have until January 10th to surf over to www.phish.com to download the songs.
