Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl was arrested
last week in Australia for driving under the influence.
The Foo Fighters had completed their set
at the annual Big Day Out Festival when Grohl left the Parkland Showgrounds
and headed for his hotel in near by Brisbane on a moped. Australian police
pulled the singer over and arrested him for Driving Under the Influence
after he under went a breathalyzer test which showed his blood alcohol
level was beyond the legal limit. He was taken to the Southport Watchhouse
and booked on the charges and was later released on bail.
He appeared before the Southpark Magistrate
Jan. 31st and was fined $400 and had his Australian driving privileges
revoked. Needless to say Grohl will not be doing any more driving while
down under. The Foo Fighters still have two more dates scheduled in Australia
before they return home to prepare for their U.S. Tour with the Red Hot
Chili Peppers which gets underway on March 24th. |
