For over 20 years Grammy nominated singer songwriter Leah Zicari has entertained audiences with her singing and guitar playing. The native of Rochester, New York is classically trained and armed with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Classical Guitar Performance Leah can sometimes be found in an orchestra pit and on a local stage. To mark the milestone in her career Leah has released a DVD, "Bootlegged" - A 20 Year Retrospective. The DVD includes photos, interviews, and performances over the years including a show where only two friends came and a touching performance at her father's memorial service. While the DVD focuses on Leah's solo career, Leah has performed with Tony Levin, Dave Brubeck and Sophie B. Hawkins. Interspersed among the live footage are photos of Leah with fellow performers.
In an age of computer driven technology, DVD creator and co-producer artist Joy Argento takes a simplistic approach in making the DVD. Performances are shown as they were originally made allowing Leah's voice and personality to come through as it was meant to be. Extras on the DVD are performance clips of Leah that didn't quite fit into the flow of the program.
While fans of Leah Zicari will recognize faces and places, those who are unfamiliar with Leah will enjoy hearing the singer's musical view of the world.
